Tips for using Fuse Creator with students

  • Show students a sample activity before they begin work on their own activities.
  • Students should decide what they want to achieve within the activity (what is the objective - is there a specific focus or purpose?)  The activities will be of limited value without this focus.
  • If the created activities involve a number of questions, drag and drop, or linking lines - avoid letting the answers be obvious from the size of the boxes.
  • Dummy answers (or red herrings) may make activities more meaningful and last longer.
  • Use the image library to make your page more interesting.
  • Set ground rules for comments, for example what is appropriate and not appropriate.
  • Make sure you save the activity frequently – the initial screens may lead you to believe you have saved something, when you have not.
  • Let students be creative – they will have some amazing ideas!
